LTA MEMBERSHIP

I want to bring to your attention the Membership of British Tennis. The LTA are endeavouring to make every member of an affiliated club a member of British Tennis and this membership will be free until 2012. However, please note that from 2009 if you are not a British Tennis member you will not be able to be included in the Club ballot for Wimbledon Tickets.

You must act SOON to become a member (if you so wish) by 30.11.2008, otherwise, I repeat you cannot be included in the Wimbledon Ticket draw at the Club. You can register online at the LTA website

This is not a Club decision, as all affiliated clubs in the country have been instructed by the LTA to inform you of this decision, which is final.

Another important point made by the LTA ' Please note that your Club's 2009 allocation of Wimbledon tickets will be based on the number of your Club Members (adults & juniors aged 9 & over) who have signed up as a British Tennis Member by 30.11.2008. Wimbledon Tickets through your Club ballot from 2009, will only be available to British Tennis Members and all of your Club Members who are signed up as British Tennis Members must be included within your club ballot.'

Coaching Courses

I shall be running 2 Children's 3-day Coaching courses during the Easter school holidays on 7th - 9th April and 15th - 17th April.

Also Junior tennis courses on Monday evenings will begin on 21st April.

Ladies Group Coaching Mornings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 10-12 are always well attended, but with the league season due to begin at the end of April we are always keen for new members to join in.
